Must rape victims marry their rapists?
Deuteronomy 22:28-29 “If a man finds a girl who is a virgin, who is not engaged, and seizes her and lies with her and they are discovered, then the man who lay with her shall give to the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become his wife because he has violated her; he cannot divorce her all his days.” Deuteronomy 22:28-29 (NASB)
Obviously, this is the kind of Old Testament law that Jesus was trying to reform.
Matthew 18:6
“but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it is better for him that a heavy millstone be hung around his neck, and that he be drowned in the depths of the sea.”
Let’s not go back to the cave man era of the Old Testament, where it was recommended that the tribe of Benjamin abducts and rapes virgins from the dance floor.
This is appalling. Now you know why your “tribe” is cursed without any women to marry. Because of your treatment of women. Your answer to rape, was more rape… in a very strange and grotesque way. Allah curse the Tribe of Benjamin!
